A note and a request.
trying to find my rhythm
Hi friends,
I’ve bobbed around between many different email and newsletter platforms over the years, including going back and forth between Substack and traditional newsletters. After a bit of soul searching and trying to figure out what I want the heart and shape of this space to be, I’ve decided to separate the two “types” of writing that I’m drawn to.
The Neurodivergent Space
If you joined my Substack because you’re neurodivergent (or love someone who is!) and you want to learn and connect, stay right here! Over the next month or so, I’m going to shift this space into one that’s exclusively for you. I’ll share more of my neurodivergent experience, what’s worked (and hasn’t worked for me), what the research from my profession as an SLP (and other sources) means for us, and more.
The SLP Space
If you’re an SLP or another educator who joined my Substack (or maybe even a former iteration of my newsletter) to learn more about my store or being an SLP and want to keep receiving my letters, I’ll be moving my newsletter to a new space just for professionals. I need you to do two things:
Head here to sign up to be on this email list. It’ll come straight to your inbox, no Substack involved.
Unsubscribe from The Calm SLP on Substack so you’re not getting both newsletters from me (unless you want to!). If you’re not sure how to do that, shoot me an email (thecalmslp@gmail.com) with your info, and I’ll manually delete you from the Substack list.
Some of you may automatically be on the new email list if you subscribed some time ago using a link on my Instagram or website. But you can always head to the new form, just in case :)
I’m going to start sharing my weekly and monthly letters to SLPs on my new list beginning this Friday. I’ll work on revamping this Substack into a neurspicy space and launch it later this fall.
I hope you’ll join me for whatever might serve you best! And, of course, unsubscribe if it isn’t the space for you 💛
